Did you know that LOJ is selling Chinook Books? Every book that is sold for $22 nets LOJ $11!  That percentage is unmatched by any other fundraiser.  But buying a book makes you the real winner – the book is filled with coupons good through October of 2017!
You’ve likely seen them around, but did you know that each book is filled with hundreds of valuable coupons?  And did you know that every business participating has been carefully vetted and meets the City of Portland’s standards for “sustainable business practices”?  Each local business funnels dollars back into our economy — while 50% of your purchase price is benefiting LOJ!

How can you get one?
For the month of October, LOJ will have a supply of Chinook Books in the main office.  Each book is $22 and checks must be made to “LOJHS Scrip”.  You can go to the office at any time to purchase a book or send a check with your child and have them purchase the book for you. You may also order books through the regular scrip ordering process.  These books are a wonderful gift, so pre-order for the holidays or as thank you gifts!

LOJ Student is Finalist in Photography Competition

We are pleased to announce that 8th grader Grace Bauer has been selected as a finalist in the LO City Photo Contest.  She entered a photo of her new puppy, Rio, playing with a baseball and glove at West Waluga Park. It’s in the Pets in Lake Oswego category and is called “Baseball Pup”.  Below is the link to the city page to vote. Let’s all show our support (and enjoy seeing all the beautiful pictures of Lake Oswego living!).  Voting closes at 5 p.m. on Sunday, October 16.

The new Chinook Book is now available!  Coupons include freebies from Whole Foods, New Seasons, Burgerville, and Salt & Straw to name a few.  Best of all, LOJ earns $11.00 for every Chinook Book sold.
